AKAI TT Repair , Help needed ?

I have checked the continuity from the kettle plug connections to the circuit board , all OK , and tried 2 different kettle leads , The power source was tested to be working

Checked the fuse inside in the board , OK

Okay, stone age tip here but worth a try; If the platter doesn't spin up, set the deck to run at 45rpm and give the platter a quick push with yer fingies ;)

I got a great horror story that a few people on AOS know about.....lips are sealed unless to much ale paases between them

Bah, I'm not shy. I discovered yesterday that when I last cleaned all the contacts and plugs with De-Oxit I had plugged the IC's into the Mini-T the wrong way round. I only discovered it yesterday when I was sodding about with the balance knob on the DR5... :doh: :D
