For Sale a Musical Fidelity A1-X (an A1 that I am told had the X added to denote appropriate for export)

I bought this from a partner at the solicitors I worked for in 1997/98. He had not used it for some years as he had gone all Naim.

I have used it very little and I have not put more than 50 hours on it max (probably a lot less)

An interesting aside is that this amp featured in the November 2008 issue of HifiNews. It was loaned by me to the editor Paul Miller for an article on the then new A1. He wanted to test an original A1 against the newcomer, but I am told that MF would not give him one. The article (IIRCC) said that the oldie stacked up very well against the newie. After testing this model was given a clean bill of health. It has not been used since that article was published.

There is a "ding" in the top panel at the front (which can be seen in the pic) but otherwise in VGC, IMO. The volume pots on these get a bit "scratchy" and this is no different. However it makes no difference to normal operation.

I will not sell to anyone who has less than 100 post count.
