Valve phase splitters

Calling all valve design gurus, I wouldn't incude myself in the guru category :scratch:
I'm researching circuit design for my next OTL amp.
I have tried the cathodyne phase splitter in the past but didn't get good results, probably wasn't optimised :doh:

Which do you think is best, cathodyne or long tailed pair?

I use a Long Tail Pair with Tail CCS to drive a pair of high power mosfets in a “Circlotron” OTL style configuration. It does work very well. I have also used it to drive a bank of 6AS7G output valves in the same “Circlotron” OTL configuration. It worked very well with this output stage too. The LTP can be configured to accept single ended or balanced input from earlier stages in the amplification chain.
