The Tascam 122 is interesting for it's speed control fine-tune on the front panel. Useful if you play back tapes recorded on portable equipment that had failing batteries and poor speed control when it put the signal on the tape in the first place.

Hope the Tascam reel works nicely for you. It's a 2-track (half-track quarter-inch) stereo machine. Records on tape in one direction only. You can get some commercially recorded half-track stereo tapes, though they tend to be 60's and earlier, rather than 70's ones, which are more often quarter-track stereo). Ebay has lots of ex-studio 2-track tapes as well, just bear in mind it won't take 10" reels. It's a small-studio / musicians machine rather than a 'home hi-fi' machine, and should make some nice recordings if you like doing your own, from radio or LP for example (or even CD, heaven-forbid;)).

You'll have to start practicing your cassette alignment / cleaning / calibration skills! You're getting quite a collection!

A lot gets snapped up by other stallholders and those paying extra for the early bird access.

Last time I sold stuff at an audio jumble, half went straight from my car into a dealer's van... Ok, i knew him, but still !

Its the same at photography fairs....pay to get in early, but even then, the dealers have all been swopping and changing:(
