This album is due out in November, and is available (currently, but won't be for long I guess) on Amazon for £18.85???
Everywhere else it's listed at £55.00 - £75.00

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Psychedelic-VINYL-Young-Crazy-Horse/dp/B0097L29KM/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1349524118&sr=1-1&tag=vglnk-uk-c45-21

Worth a punt?
Got to be at that price.

I'm hoping they have to honour our orders but there could be small print in there...when this happened an order of mine previously they did honour the price though the error was more like a tenner that time.

The taster track is good!

Sonority
11-10-2012, 07:18
There is small print, and while we have 'paid' for it, that payment is not taken until despatch date- so they are covered.

With a hell of a lot of these sold and the price differential we may well get an email..

But on the bright side they may just do the honourable thing and let us have them :eyebrows:

From one extreme to the other - £75 (and fulfilled by amazon) is about £20 too much!!

Track does sound good. I hope they do honor the price otherwise I cant afford it.

I've just been nosing around the Amazon website and found this:

What we do about mispricings

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the more than 1.5 million items in our catalogue are mispriced. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures.

If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and send you the item.

If a product's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatch or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

Please note that this policy applies only to products sold and fulfilled by Amazon.co.uk.

Pre-Order Price Guarantee

Amazon.co.uk's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it's released and dispatched.

Whenever you pre-order an item eligible for our Pre-order Price Guarantee, the price you pay will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time you place your order up to and including the release date.

A Pre-order Price Guarantee message will appear on your order summary during the checkout process. If you use 1-Click ordering, Pre-order Price Guarantee protection will be automatically applied.

The order summary in Your Account will reflect the lowest price within 24 hours of any price change. Terms and Conditions apply.

Pre-order Price Guarantee does not apply in the case of mispricing, described earlier on this page.

It came from here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=1040614)

Given the bit I have highlighted in bold, I take that to mean that we'd better hope the person on whose discretion we're relying gets two eggs for breakfast, rather than one on the morning of November 22nd!

keiths

A very good album and a really good, quiet pressing.

But why, oh why, with three inner sleeves available to print with the lyrics etc., did they instead choose to print them in that pathetic little booklet that's literally half the size of a cd booklet? :steam:

It took me half a day to find it in bottom of middle pocket. I was fuming why all the fancy sleeve and no credits until I saw a post about it's size on SH forum. Anyway confirms this is a genuine all analogue job. Perhaps Neil could give those burks at EMI an earwigging over the Beatles reissues.

I'm thinking of getting this but... Been listening to it on YouTube etc.

I dunno... After Greendale I just think he's lost some of the imagination... I'm a bit NY fan but this just sounds a bit weak to me.

Maybe it's a grower... lol

I've only played the first disc. For a start Youtube won't give you any idea how it sounds. I suppose it's typical Crazy Horse repetitive guitar riffs but on a good recording it's quite addictive. First track is 1.5 sides long. I think it reminds me more of Broken Arrow from memory. Can't judge till I hear the whole album.

The quality is good for sure. It is typically repetitive so listening to it "actively" for all 5 sides in one sitting might be a bit much but it is great chilled rock.

Is it a bit like 'Snores with Angels' then? I stopped bothering with Neil Young/Crazy Horse after that one, but if they are rocking it up a bit I will go out and get it.

I have to agree about the booklet - if I'd paid £56 or more, I'd quite rightly be thoroughly pissed off that pennies had been pinched.
For £18 though, it's very nice indeed!

It does sound great.

You've gotta love a 27 minute Neil Young track that stretches over 2 Sides of an album and includes the lyrics........

"Don't want my mp3
Don't want my mp3

I'm driftin' back

When you hear my song now
You only get five percent
You used to get it all
You used to get it all"
