Hello to all,
I introduce myself, my name is Antonio and I live in Italy. I apologize now for my English.
I discovered this forum only yesterday, while I was researching on the Technics 1200. I am very interested in the various modifications.
My plant for the rest is composed of:
Phono Stage: Grandinote Celio
Integrated Amplifier: Ensemble Evocco
Speakers: Genesis g7.1F
I listen to mostly jazz, vocal jazz and a little classical music, preferring the big orchestra.

Hello Marco, I live in Milan since 1998, but I'm originally from Naples. Tuscany is wonderful, but also your forum is not far behind. I'll give you my compliments.

Excellent, Antonio. I've never been to Naples, but will definitely visit it one day, as it's very different to Tuscany. It has a different type of landscape and culture, as you know, and many parts are beautiful :)

Hi Antonio, welcome from me too. The Naples area is lovely, but then I've not found a bit of Italy I haven't liked - a wonderful country, some great cars and motorcyles (when they work! ;)) superb food and wine and of course lovely ladies! You also gave us Opera but then I suppose it can't all be good! :eyebrows: ;)

Hope you enjoy the forum and get the advice on the Technics you are looking for. :)

I have been using Chario speakers for some years now, and absolutely love them. Sadly no longer available in the UK. Can I ask you how well they are regarded over in Italy?

thanks for the welcome.
Unfortunately, many Italians are xenophiles :(, especially in the field of electronics in general, prefer American products, German, English etc..
The speakers Chario, have good finishes and, for the components they use and their cost, they sound really good, so long to be amplified properly.
As for me, I think that in Italy there are good producers in Hi-End. Just think of Sonus Faber, M2Tech, Lector, Diapason, Grandinote etc. ...

Yesterday I installed the Isonoe feet and the Achromat 1200.
The scene seems wider, the image sharper and low frequencies braking. It 'also increased noise.
Let's see how to continue ......;)

Hi Antonio - I'm listening to Miles D on a 1210 with acromat, vantage feet, psu upgrade, Loricraft mat, audiomods rewired RB250 and very good it sounds too!

Loads you can do with your SL 1200, and the good thing about AoS is invariably someone will have tried it too!

actually I think AoS is unbeatable in giving information about the changes of 1200.
I am undecided whether the next step will be to change arm or put a external power supply.

Hear, hear! I purchased my Syntars over 10 years ago and to this date I still love their (neutral) sound. Spent weeks testing and comparing them to renowned other speakers from the same segment but the Charios were best to my taste.

But to go back ontopic: welcome to AoS Tony! :)
