There are so many out there varying in cost. Does anyone have experience or recomendations? Are they easy to fit ? Silver or copper ?? Do they make that much of a difference ?
Depends what you use. I like the copper litz type as sold at various prices by Sumiko, Audioquest and the nerve Audio ones on ebay look similar too.
Of course you can go "higher," but only get silver ones if your cartridge is wired that way and you replace the arm wires too. An inch or so of silver when you have feet of copper before and after can only be a disaster waiting to happen - IMO
Good advice, Dave, and logic says you're right, but in my case (presuming that my Ortofon tonearm is not silver wired), these work very well indeed and were a notable upgrade on what was factory fitted inside my SPU:

Marco.
I stand corrected  :respect:

Yes, Had my eye on those Marco. Slightly left field but does anyone know what the standard tonearm cabe running through my Micro Seiki MA 202 would be and in terms of quality ?
