What would you do if you came home one day to discover that your wife/girlfriend was operating your turntable?

I've no problem with it at all, my good lady is as keen on music and hifi as myself and she contributed personally to many of the purchases, and if anything is even more careful with the equipment than I am... ;)

I've never had a problem with that. My wife uses the system regularly.......and she's got impeccable taste in music too!

.......but, then maybe I'm just lucky.

My wife won't go anywhere near my turntable since she snagged a DL-304 when dusting. On the other hand, I confidently let my 14 year old daughter use it because she was genuinely interested and understood the delicacy of the equipment. Daughter's 24 now and has a TT of her own.

An intriguing prospect, but not quite as intriguing as coming home and finding your wife 'operating' your girlfriend... :eyebrows:

My mrs doesn't touch my hi-fi - she reckons that her old Sony mini-system is better than mine!!!

Interesting what some people's perception of "sound quality" really is.

Mrs B. refused to touch my Garrard 301 as she said I always looked far too worried when she went near it. She equally refuses to touch my Gyrodec as it's "far too bouncy" apparently.

The answer has been a Sony Biotracer PS-B80 set up alongside the Gyro. Switch on, put record on, press START - job done!

If I came home and found my wife operating a turntable, I would be amazed and have two very good questions too ask...........

1/ what are you doing in my house? - get back to that 5 bedroomed house I pay the mortgage on.

2/ what are you doing bringing a turntable around to my house when you made me get rid of my LP12 fifteen years ago?

I'd think things were looking up - She likes music but doesn't seem interested in my passion for music, purchasing vinyl and hi-fi, probably because of the fact I'm really into it :eyebrows:

No....

;)

I still check eBay for them every couple of days ... Since I found the 422 the only other from the series I've seen is a 400.
I wonder if the only place I might find one is one of these audio jumble things ... ?
They seem to be like rocking horse poo/hens teeth etc etc
Ah well I probably only listen to the tt an hour or two a week on average so it should last a while ... Damn shitty old mechanical hifi prone to wear and tear ...
There's no thread for "wives/girlfriends and digital streamers" - two reasons, wtf does it matter if they press all the buttons and no they can't use them anyway!

Yes, it's rather disappointing when a triviality like that gets in the way of some rampant girl-on-girl action! :eyebrows:

My wife sticks to any of the digital discs; but, mostly when I'm not there. My kids have been trained to properly use the turntable(s); however, they rarely ever do as I've set them up with their own systems, including turntables.

The main listening room? Sometimes it gets lonely in there... NO!! :D

To avoid ever having to come home and find such a thing happening (the turntable operating Marco!) I took the precaution of remaining ugly and thus single......

Mmm, yeah... But it's rather fun to watch for a while (recording it for entertainment later), letting them get nice and moist, and then just at the right moment, steaming in to replace the strap-on! :eyebrows: ;)

Yum, yum - I can smell honeydew melon, with a subtle hint of musk..... Oh yes, you wouldn't believe the parties I've been to!
