Maps are crap on the iPad
Think carefully before upgrading(?) to this.

Did it last night. Haven't noticed much difference really. I use a Tom Tom for maps.

Yes, having upgraded mine, I think that it's not worth doing, as you lose the google maps and youtube built-in apps . I haven't found any positive points to the upgrade yet :(

You can, however access maps and youtube applications using the browser.

On the other hand, why would you want to use an ipad for navigation anyway :scratch: I also use a TomTom.

I have an old Tom Tom and studying a route on it is a pia quite frankly.
I travel around the country a bit and its nice to look at the lay of the land on a decent map,
Oh silly me,I should use a map book,that would solve it.
You can't use an iPad for navigation unless its a 3G one.
