There are several great arms that work on the Technics, but I can easily say I've been very pleased with the Audiomods. It works exceedingly well with my Zu Denon carts, and I'm gradually working up to an EMT TSD 15 SFL for it, but that'll be a while out yet. Jeff Spall was easy to work with and he makes a high-performing tonearm with a considerable latitude for matching the arm to the carts you're interested in. He supplies 2 counterweights and a variety of headshell shims for the tonearm. Dialing in the VTA settings is pretty easy and readily repeatable due to the design. The cost is very fair considering the quality involved.

Would this Audiomods perform as well as a Jelco 750 with the same Zu Denon carts? Or is the Jelco something better?

I'm sure the Jelco would work well with the Denon, but keep in mind that a good quality tonearm cable will have to be purchased for it, since it's generally not included with the arm. The Audiomods will have a great range of application for different carts, IMHO. 6Moons had a recent review of the Series V Audiomods arm here: http://www.sixmoons.com/audioreviews/audiomods/1.html
If you're going to stay with a Denon or similar cartridge for a long while, the Jelco may be your better bet cost-wise, depending on the best deal you can find. Consider that the Audiomods comes with high-quality wiring, headshell shims, counterweights, an easy-to-use VTA setup, and you can customize it for your cartridges...I think that speaks for itself. Jeff Spall is constantly tinkering with the design, trying to improve it, and I have no doubt that the current production run is a better tonearm than the one I bought last year.
