A genuine Allaerts MC1B mkii moving coil cartridge. This particular Allaerts had well under 100 hours use as a dealer demo example when it was sent back to Jan for a checkover and for re-alignment of the cantilever. He gave it a 100% clean bill of health and a full checkover. Since then I personally have just played it for 1 side to check it over and make sure everything is at it should be. It is now as new and needs to be run in properly for around 200 hours. This is as close to a new MC1b as you are going to get and it's a chance to jump the long waiting list for a new MC1B.
The MC1B mkii is hand made in belgium and lasts between 7000-10000 hours. Retipping if you eventually get there is also very cheap and you can upgrade to the next cartirdge in the range for the difference in price.
