Shopping in Lidl's this morning, among other things, i picked up a Loofah back scrub with a handle in the shape of a wee hand,
walking home with it and thought to myself 'i don't need it' as i've got a normal one in the house which i don't use.

So about turn back to the shop and asked for a refund, i explained why i didn't need it but was taken by the cute wee hand shape.

Guy gives me the refund and quips ;
''we've got rubber ducks coming next week, i'll remind you not to buy one when you come to pay knowing you might have dozens in the bath tub''.

Sniggers in the que and i couldn't get out fast enough, :o:lol: anyone have embarrassing moments you care to share.

Oh yes, I have a doozy:

Set the way-back machine to 1985 and we are going to watch one of the rash of sci-fi 3D films that were released around this time, one such being Metalstorm (it was crap btw). Anyway, I knew the proprietor of our local picture house well because I'd done a little work for him a short while before. My friend and I exited the screen having watched the aforementioned film and the foyer was heaving with punters ready for the next screenings. I spotted the proprietor talking to a group on the opposite side of the foyer and, full of the joys of spring, I shouted over, "Ashley, when will you be screening some more 'VD' films????". The foyer erupted and I stood there illuminating the place the deepest shade of red, hoping the ground would swallow me up... :o

SWMBO went into a posh haberdashers to look for a fitted sheet for the bed. A rather snooty sales assistant sidled up to her and asked if there was 'anything she could help her with' - feeling more than a little out of place, what with her being dressed in her bikers leathers, she all too quickly blurted out that she was looking for some 'shitted feet'. Apparently she wasn't sure who was more embarrassed - her or the rather shocked assistant. She didn't hang around long enough to buy any...

Um i bought a strong industrial type metal drain cleaner supermarket a bit back. I don't have drains being in a middle floor flat..only unblocking that would ever need do is the general 32 & 38mm plastic waste pipe from sinks & bath which all lead to a communal stench pipe type outlet, in which case this cleaner would be unusable. :lol:

I bought a car many years ago from a place which allowed you to return it within 7 days without question. I took the car to a mechanic who said that there was sand under the carpets and in the engine bay. He thought it might have been dropped off the quay when it was imported.
So I took the car back and told the story to an impassive group of salesmen. One went to get the speedo reading and shouted back to his mates "I can't see the dials 'cos there's a lobster in the way".

Well I went into LIDL today and bought the air sandblasting gun they're doing as a 'special' for less than a tenner. Very handy, I'd been after one for a while!

Geoff, did you see the wee Loofah i was talking about?, :rolleyes: glad you got the sandblasting gun for a tenner, now go and buy a compressor for £100.00. :eyebrows:

Yup, the Helston branch. About nine miles from Manaccan where I am near at the moment!

And Andy, I've already got several compressors, but keep an aye out for the compressor/airbrushing kit LIDL will be doing as a 'special' shortly, its a bargain at less than £30, but only if you want one of course.
