The cabinets are made from 22mm MDF that originally came as a fully-rebated flatpack kit. Each cabinet has been laboriously glued together carefully ensuring no gaps and using double the usual amount of glue. They are VERY solid. The drivers have also been fitted with Planet-10 HiFi 'phase plugs' to improve the sound. I've also reduced the internal chamber volume (and carefully adjusted the amount of damping material) to tune the sound really make them sing.

The looks of these speakers are not to everyone's tastes and they would benefit from a bit of a re-finish (I originally finished them myself and I'm no master French polisher) but the photos here give a very accurate picture of the aesthetics.

Needless to say, they are HEAVY AS HELL! There's no way these can be realistically shipped. They really need to be picked up (and listened to before hand).

I'll not bore you with the sales pitch about high-efficiency, no-crossover etc, I know most people on this forum will be familiar with this type of speaker but any questions, feel free to ask!

Reason for sale: Although these sound amazing with 90% of the stuff I listen to, they aren't the right kind of speaker for electronic music which, unfortunately for me, I like (well, some types). I need a more all-round speaker which I will no doubt have to pay for.

These are also on eBay at a pretty unrealistic starting price to get people bidding. I'd be willing to let these go for around £400 for a quick sale.

Wow, they're really nice. Look great in black. People are really missing an aural treat, even if the big bulky monolith-style looks aren't to everyone's tastes!

I had loads of watchers on eBay but in the end they didn't sell. Anyway, I've re-listed them for £250 'Buy It Now' which is a steal really.

The listing is here for anyone interested at this new price: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190728296253?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_606wt_1398

Might be worth sticking some dims on the auction Adam ... sadly I'm too far away but if I were closer I'd want to measure up.

Very nice looking ebay listing (some are so crap it makes you wonder!) Good Luck.

I might list mine as Coffins and remove the drivers:D

I also think that a lot of people don't realise what these can do, or would like the idea but prefer the DIY project of building their own cabs. The drivers themselves should be worth good money considering they are broken in - my Fe206EN took a year!
