John here from not sunny Romford in Essex, saying hello to all you folks on this fab forum. Been lurking for a while, so seemed rude to keep peeping in behind the curtains and not saying hello!:D Hope to join in the banter that makes this place a bit different.
Current system is mostly vintage and broadcast kit, with a Thorens TD124 in a custom ebony plinth/SME3012 and EMT XSD-15. Studer D731 CD player, Tandberg 3014 cassette deck, Yamaha CT-810 tuner. Amps are modded Heathkit SP2 preamp and Radford STA25. Speakers are Rogers LS3/6.
Musical tastes are wide and varied, I enjoy classical music, particularly Mahler and Rachmaninoff, jazz and blues (too many to mention) and even some Stones and Zappa! Anyway, enough waffle for now, hope to settle in here and learn from all you knowledgeable people:)
