Denon DL 110 cart - surface noise?

Morning all

Just a quickie, Ive been using a DL 110 recently and when compared to my Shure M75EJ cart the DL 110 exhibits more surface noise from the record.

Could it be set up of the cart or something else

I believe it's the one i used to have?
It is a quite worn stylus, which will be noisier and grainier than a new one.

If the stylus is not worn try lowering the arm a little...

DL-110 is a bit prone to showing up surface noise, not the worst though by any means. Strangely, the dearer, but quite similar (now discontinued) DL-160 is just about the quietest cartridge I've come across for revealing surface noise.
