Hi all

does anyone here use anything like the HFN Analogue Test LP to help set up their Turntable? Just wondering if it's worth having.

It's very good indeed, I sell about 20-30 per month of them all over the world. Well worth the money IMO.

I've never used this specific one - but I have set up a lot of arms and turntables - and I don't find test LP's to be of any real use. I do own a few, but I don't even use them to set up my own deck (which I am very particular about).

I find the HFN one is good to get a starting point for bias and azimuth. Then I have a little tweak 'til I'm happy with the sound.

Still have HFS 75. I haven't used it for years and find these fairly limited in value. The most difficult tracking tests foil any cartridge and are more demanding than a real world situation in any case.

I find this particular test record to be very useful! Especially when you try a lot of different tt's.
Most used feature is channel orientation, phase tests and of course tracking tests.
But the one thing i couldnt live without is the obligatory Arc Protractor designed for my particular arm.
There are some basic protractors included with this LP too, but they are not as easy to apply.
