Yep, I have a small laser level and if you use it properly it is capable of extreme accuracy (significantly better than my iPhone).

On the basis that I'm constantly moving the speakers around in all of my systems I coughed up my 69p! I'm not sure it is very accurate in measuring the angle, but it seems to be consistently inaccurate - i.e. if I set the left to 20 degrees it looks far more than 20 degrees to me, but setting the right to 20 they look to be the same angle.

In the main room the Spendors sound best away from the wall - but then for safety's sake (them and the kids!) they get pushed back against the wall when I'm not listening. Hence I pull them out and put them into position when I get the house to myself for a few hours.

My "office" is currently the summerhouse - but the speakers in there (Kef Coda 9) also double-up as the garden speakers so they get moved around all the time too.

But yes, in principal they would just stay where they sound best!
