Hello from Leeds

I'm just popping in here to say hi as requested by the forum owner.

I have viewed this forum several times in the past, but this time decided to sign up. (well, I wanted to view an attachment if I'm honest!).

I don't do much DIY these days, as I find myself too busy with other things, but I still like to see what's happening on the DIY 'scene'.

My system:

Marantz CD17 MK1 (modified)
'Lampucera' DAC (standard - but this is the thread of interest at the moment)
Harmon Kardon HK870 Power Amp
Counterpoint preamp (this was a 5.1 pre amp - but has been heavily modified to stereo only - I bought it with a fault)
eBay "Big DAC" (I'm not sure of the origin of this one)
Logitech Squeezebox Duet
Linn Keilidh speakers

+various other bits of kit, mostly vintage - some working, some not!

That's an interesting system - you don't see too much Counterpoint stuff nowadays. What music do you like to listen to?

I like a fairly broad selection of music, in my youth I liked mostly rock, such as Rainbow, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd etc. These days I listen to a lot of blues stuff as well. There's also some "off the wall" stuff that I like - but nobody else seems to lol!!

Trust me on this - what you think is "off the wall" - isn't.
I thought some of my tastes were a bit left field until I listened to some of the stuff some people here listen to :mental:
