Bushmaster version has the correct plug and works with the Mini-T. How do I know? :eyebrows:

Yes I had one but sold it on. My Paul Hynes regulated PSU sounded better than the standard one with the SBooster. I tried the SBooster with the standard 5A PSU the Mini-T comes with and thought it seemed a little better.
I guess you could order one from Mark Grant Cables. Just make sure it's for the Bushmaster. :)
I've been powering my two Mini-Ts with a LiPo battery and I find the resulting sound better than when powered by a linear PSU fed through a JLH Ripple Eater, if that's of any interest.
Just a bit annoying though when the battery shuts down on you without warning :) .

Cheers guys. I can't afford a Linear PSU at the mo and I don't want to use batteries. At under 30 quid the Sbooster is good value and once I can scrape together the funds for a new PSU I could combine the two for even better performance perhaps ;)

Probably because the ripple eater increased the output impedance of the linear PSU. Remember there is no feedback, so the ripple eater (unlike the linear PSU) is effectively open loop & the output impedance will be fairly high :rolleyes:

Thanks for that - hopefully others will find it of interest but it all goes way over my head I'm afraid :) . If I can see something working I can often understand what's happening but leccy is invisible so I haven't a clue ;) .

The linear PSU on it's own would be able to maintain the exact output voltage required easier. While the ripple eater might help get rid of any remaining ripple & noise from the linear PSU output, it will also degrade the regulation.
In other words it might be slightly less noisy, but the output voltage would fluctuate depending on the load requirements.

Ah, so instead of being smooth and creamy it might have a few lumps in it? :lol: ;) - now I understand but I can't grasp why those possible 'lumpy bits' might give me the impression that it sounds better that way.
