Krell's first bipolar output device pre-amp, internal phonostage external PSU, (not pictured).

This has just been completely overhauled and professionally serviced. Front end gain stage transistors were replaced in the phonostage and the PSU, phonostage and pre-amp section have all been recapped. So this pre-amp sounds like the day it was born. Cosmetically it's in excellent condition and electrically it is perfect.

The 7b was the first Krell pre-amp to use bipolar output devices and was the replacement for the PAM7. With a switchable MM/MC phonostage of legendary quality and adjustable for loading and gain, as well as a dual regulated external power supply it exceeded the performance of Krell's previous pre-amp designs. It provides insight, delicacy and detail from any recording and digs downs to deliver the deepest bass. Truly an iron fist in a velvet glove.

Only selling it because I went integrated for a RC volume control.

£800 + delivery (currently on the bay for 850)

My mate had one of these driving a KSA80 and it sounded superb. Should easily be good for another twenty five years I should think.
