The toslink socket of my Caiman DAC has broken and no longer works. I want to replace it but can't find the part. When I do a search on the Farnell site I get about 6 items but they're all flagged as being out of production. Can anybody give me details to where I can get a replacement?

I sent you a socket a few months back. Did you not receive it or did I send it to the wrong address?
Email me a picture again of the inside of your DAC so that I can see which type it is. I used two versions of sockets over the years.

Hi Stan,
No I didn't get it. I sent you the original e-mail but figured you were busy with the release of the Bushmaster. Originally, the flap fell off but the connection still worked, although it was a bit loose. As a result, I didn't bother to follow up. Problem is it stopped working on the weekend, hence the thread created here.
I'll take a photo tonight.
I can PM you by addy if you want. :)

I just want to add a big thankyou to Stan Beresford. The 2nd toslink socket arrived within a day (fast as usual) and I have just soldered it onto the Caiman board and am now listening to tunes using TOSLINK. Wayhay!!!
Thanks Stan! Fantastic service as usual!!
