Pioneer TX-9100 Broken Tuning Dial

Hi All

Not sure if this is the right place to post this :0( Last year, I purchased a Pioneer SA-9100 from a guy in Halifax and he gave me his TX-9100 for free :0) Things is, his nephew (sweet kid :steam:) decided to test the laws of physics to the limit and has broken the cable /pulley inside the unit. I opened it up and just cannot work out how to fix it (part of it is physically broken). The best I can do is manually turn the pulley inside until I find my favourite station. However, I would really like to get it operational again. Does anyone have any experience of this or point me to a repairer in the SE London/Kent area?

Again, London Sound seem to be experts on tuner refurbs of all kinds. The TX9100 was an awsome tuner as I remember, one of the best for sound and specs under the then reference Yammy CT7000 and Accuphase models, and well worth having an expert look at it who can check and properly calibrate the dial accuracy for you.

DIY jobs on the tuning cord may be easily done if you know what you're at and with shedloads of patience. HiFi Engine have the service manual which I've just downloaded and there's a clear diagram on stringing up the drive cord.

P.S. If you can still tune manually, the cord may well be intact and only the pointer needs re-attaching with any luck..
