"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I guess, Scott! Nice to see someone trying something different, but it only really works as a system - if you just wanted (say) the CD player it would look a little odd with other kit, perhaps?

I do like the look of the DCS kit but to date I have been not really that impressed with the sound produced by them. In fairness though I have only heard them at shows, but to date, after a fair number of shows I still haven't heard them sound that great and on one occasion absolutely terrible. So either those putting the show systems together have no idea how to put a good system together, there is no synergy among the items they sell distribute or the DCS sound is just not for me or a mixture of those factors. I am really not sure.

Sorry to say this, but it's as much inventing a problem and then marketing a VERY expensive "solution" to show how clever you are. Mind you, there are probably enough hundreds of people out there to make it worthwhile gearing up for production for a year or so until the next big thing to "fix" comes along..

And all these lovely professional recordings made with humble A-D converters costing only a thousand or two tops...................
