Tannoy CPA 5 Any Good.

Thinking about buying a pair of these for my second system but cant find many reviews.

Anyone on here heard them what are they like.?

I don't have model info on these, but if I'm not mistaken they use a development of the Goodmans GLL Imagio DCT driver. Tannoy bought the rights to their design I believe. They are not exactly a dual concentric driver in the normal Tannoy sense, more what you might call a dual coaxial. The central tweeter is a passive device driven by inductance from the main driver coil field. The original Imagios were quite pleasant to listen to, I bought a pair out of curiosity. I'd guess the similarly designed CPA5 probably sounds OK. Don't pay a fortune for them though, £50 tops I'd say.

I was Thinking £30 tops. I like the look of them and ideal computer speakers etc perfect for my spotify / pc system

As Geoff says, they are basically GLL Arenas in a different box. I've not heard the Tannoys but the Arenas are surprisingly good.

They are actually quite good just set up mine that haven't been used in nearly 3 years and make a respectable night radio system. See Sig for info...:)
