Seems like IAG are being asked to move out of their current location by the local government and the staff aren't too happy with the potential move to a new region in China without any financial support from the owners. There's a bit of a revolt going on.

Tony changed the name of the thread to 'IAG relocation'.

Word on the ground is that some staff have already left, things have quietened down and those remaining staff will probably make the move if it ever happens. They have the staff by the balls as it is very difficult to get another electronics job at short notice. Those who have lelft already had roles lined up at another local facility.
