Hello all,

Newbie signing in, look forward to receiving the benefit of all the collective wisdom on the forum!

Musical taste is varied - anything from Gregorian Chant to Tangerine Dream, and I have a very modest, budget level set up which is due to be enhanced later today having just received one of Stanley B's Bushmaster DAC (and the reason as to how I found this forum in the first place!).

I'll apologise in advance for the newbie-type questions I'll inevitably pose at some stage - please be patient with me!

I too live in Liverpool, with a varied musical taste and a "budget" system. I have the a Gator'd Caiman rather than a Bushmaster. I can honestly say you will be pleased.

I'm looking forward to getting it set up - I have a cheap optical cable to try tonight but have a TC-3617 interconnect on order from Stanley B. I'm kicking myself at buying the Head-box S headphone amp as the Bushmaster has one also - it'll be an interesting comparison though!

I'm hoping the Gregorian Chant especially will sound fabulous once the Bushmaster is up to speed!

It certainly should do, Ian. The BM is particularly good at voice and midrange in particular, revealing lots of detail in that area. Once you're ready for it, a good external linear power supply makes it sound even better.

Nooo, don't! I had to hide the box the optical cable came in yesterday as it was, so any further talk of upgrades is likely to go down like a lead balloon.

Mind you, it is my birthday soon :eyebrows:
