And what else to say?
I'm new to this forum and have to say that it seems a good time is being had! Hello Stratmangler - Yes you matey; Too many hours discussing the finer points of whatever whilst listening to whoever for so many years.. It's looking like it's the first Sat in December that we 3 (or poss 4 with Hoye Hoye) stooges have a lads' night in with:
Squeezebox Touch wired to the network, WAD 6550, recently repaired after it's minor tizzy and re-valved, lovingly peppered with silver and pre-amp valves as old as me maybe re-wired with the pot as a shunt by then.. Mission V63 speakers (what you may say!..These were waiting in the AV sections while I was in the Hi-Fi shows), Cable Talk 4.1 to the bottom and Maplin silver stuff on the top.
Record deck will be different by then hopefully. (Somebody is selling something I would like please, hence joining the forum). Currently Manticore Mantra with OL modded RB250 and silver Litz constructed tonearm wire. No finger-lift thanks to OL......Pre-2 as built by me from WAD although I suspect (would like) the Slee stage here (matey). Oh, a Reson Reca cart caps off a great sounding front end.
