Hi everybody,

I am currently studying at Salford University in the UK and I am doing my final project for my Master’s degree. My project is Colour and Sound and I am looking for subjects to take part in the online questionnaire. This questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and I would be very grateful for your time if you could do this. Cheers.

Anyone interested in doing this. I really need help. It is for educational reasons after all. Most people have said they found it very interesting.

Done it, it's a touch long and repetitive, same screen, no variation, could be more interesting for the user. Some of the files are pretty grotty Mp3 as well and two didn't appear to play at all.

This is going to sound harsh, but it's not meant to be - I promise!
I started it and gave up after a while as it couldn't cope with the fact that a particular sound might not actually make me think of any colour. When I learnt what little I know about experimental design, I grasped the concept that a negative result is just as important as a positive result.
A point which may be reinforced if you take my comment in the spirit in which it is intended!

Welcome Mike. I've completed it. Though I too struggle with the colour concept for a lot of music other than the blindingly obvious.... Still, hope it helps!

Some people find the survey 'easy' whilst others find it much more difficult to choose a colour. This is something which I have learnt from this. Thanks for the effect anyway.

Thanks to everybody else who has participated in this, is anyone else interested in doing this, I still need more results. Cheers.

I have also completed it (though I did get a bit bored and it seemed to take ages).

Personally, I would have liked a significantly greater range of colours and shades and some sounds made me think of more than one colour.

Done. My thoughts are the pallette of colours was not that wide, and I did not really link the sound and colours strongly. I am sure if i repeated the test the result would be different.

yes, this has become a problem. People tend to prefer a palette but unfortunately this is very difficult to do.

Thanks everyone, still need at least 30 people more so if you have 15-20 minutes spare could you do this survey for me cheers.
