Hello,

I would like to build a set of EL84 PP power amps and I am looking for a good design. By reading about the Leben CS300XS I realized that many people love its sound so I thought it maybe worth trying to build it. I have to admit that I don't have the money to buy it nor do I want as I have a tube preamp already and I am quite satisfied with it. So I am looking for Leben's schematic to build a dual mono power amp based on the same design.
I would really appreciate any information, recommendation and photos about the inside.

Anybody tried the Lebens with Tannoy 15" MGs?

THANKS!
Vencel

Valve amps sink or swim on the quality of their transformers. You can't build a Leben without their transformers and of course, other custom compnents they might use.

Based on the informaion I've found they don't use custom resistors or capacitors (like Kondo does) and I don't want to copy the Leben as I know that the heart of their amp is their own output transformer plus the layout and of course the selection of materials.
I would like to have the schematic because Leben's design is proven while I cannot be sure about other designs from the DIY sites.
Leben has been tested and is being used by many people.
I was thinking that if after building it it sounds nice then I would upgrade the components to better and more exotic ones as well as I would order an amorphous core output transformer.

Thanks for your feedback.
