As a newcomer in this forum, write a few words just to say "Hi"

Described myself as "LP Die-hard" as I don't even have a CD player. To me, "Analogue" is the real world. Living in a city like Hong Kong, we do not seem to live in the world as everything has been "Digitized". Do you agree ?

Actually, apart from Vinyl, anything "Black" & "Bitter" is what I like including Guinness:cool:

Hi Yuen,
It's nice to see you here!

Say hello to Yuen, folks - he's got a fine selection of turntables and a rather nice phono stage - one that I've always had a hankering for.
Why don't you let the community know a little about your system and your taste in music Yuen? When you've got time, we'd also love to see some photos of it in The Gallery.

Cheers

Marco

Do you have ESP, Chris? How do you know that when he hasn't mentioned yet what turntables or phono stage he's got?

But yes, some details and pics would be good!

Marco.

Yes indeed, I have incredible powers of supernatural perception, mystery and wonder.

I know everything & I can exclusively reveal that Yuen's turntables come from brands that begin with the following letters: T, L and V - he has also previously used several L's of a different brand.

I'm saying no more, as it's Yuen's gear and he should be the one to tell us about it.

Lol... You obviously know him from somewhere else or have spoken with him before he registered.

Perhaps he has connections with one of my favourite (and oldest) Chinese restaurants in Liverpool:

Hi Chris,

Thank you for this thoughtful introduction of me. Of course, there is no secret about my system but it may sound complicated to you.

The 3 turntables are :

i) Thorens td-124+Schick/Orotofon+EMT/Ortofon/Zu103r (Europe) - Classical 60'
ii) Linn LP12 + Ittok + Dynavector 23RS (UK) - Jazz 70'
iii) VPI HW19 + ET2 + Benz Micro Gold (USA) - Rock & Pop 80'

The 5 phono/mc transformer/pre-amplifers are :

a) Fidelity research FRT-4 (Japan) + QUAD QC24 (UK) for item (i)
b) Burmester 838 (German) also for item (i)
c) Dynvector DV6A (Japan) + EAR 834p (UK) for item (ii)
d) Dynavector P20 also item (ii)
e) Coph Nia (Sweden) for item (iii)
f) Densen DP-02 (Denmark) for spare

Enough for today. Will learn how to post some photos to share with you all. As you can see from my collections that I like to make friend from anywhere in the world. Nice to meet you all

Cheers !

Yes, there may be a lot of Hi Fi shops around but I seldom go there.
To you surprise, I buy most of my stuff from ebay
