I like those stable platter Pioneer CDPs as transports - superb into the Bushmaster DAC! :)

Does yours have one of those Legato Link DACs? I know a couple of folk with excellent systems who use those "vintage" Pioneer players. They do sound very good.

I have had several of these over the years and they are great players. I wouldn't mind another but they seem to have a propensity for spitting the laser out of it's carriage if less than gentle handling is used during transportation. The laser CAN be glued back into place, but it's a fiddly job with great care needed.

I've had one of these from new Dan. Only recently replaced, but my son still has it in his system. I thought it was a brilliant machine, if occasionally tempremental, in that the disc would sometimes stick and the drawer would take some coaxing to open.
I seem to remember the it was a What Hi-Fi best buy when first launched.
