Spotify Mac problem ???

Hello

Can I have Spotify without Facebook ?

I dont have , need or use facebook

Every time I try I

1 , download the app

2 , Run the Spotify installer

then it keeps telling me to

3 , Log in with Facebook

any advice please ??

I set my Spotify account up without having a Facebook account but that was last year. Back then you had the choice of whether to sign up with your email addy or FB, I'm not sure if that is the case now :eyebrows:

EDIT: I just checked on the web and apparently it is a requirement to have an FB account to sign up to Spotify these days. For those like me who don't like social networking sites that is a PITA, however there's nothing to stop you creating a dummy FB account and setting everything to 'private'. This has been discussed before, but Spotify's new T&C are that you have to have a FB account to sign up for a new Spotify account. Existing users don't need FB, but new users do. Just create a false FB account with any email address and leave it dormant. You only need it for the set-up procedure.

I've been using Spotify for years. I really hate requirements such as to have a Facebook account. I hope that they may rethink this in the future. I for one have no intention of joining Facebook.
