I have been offred a pair of these in imaculate condition are they worth a punt

I like them very much and they tend to go for a good bit on ebay so I guess others do too ;)

They're worth it for the drivers alone, but were rather uneven in performance to be a proper front rank player, as IMF were back then. Over the decades, I believe much work went into tweaking the line damping and crossovers, so it's worth Googling and/or contacting Wilmslow Audio and/or Falcon Acoustics to see if they have any updates available.

If they're very cheap, they would be worth a go but I always found them ploddy and they didn't sell against other speakers of the time.
