View Full Version : FS : Croft Micro 25R and 7R
Hello,
It might be a total nonsense but I am considering selling my Croft Micro 25R and 7R combo.
The units are roughly 2 year old, the amplifier has just been checked by Glenn himself. They will come in their original boxes.
Each of them is now 1400£ and I would like to sale them as a whole for 1800£ plus p&p (fully insured by Fedex, roughly an additional 80£), price is flexible to some extend but no lowballers please.
Thanks for interest
You're mad, unless you're going to get an RS pair
Good price though. Maybe you need another trip round the amplifier block to realise just how good and "right" these products are :)
I know I may look insane but I am lurking at a valve amplifier. It would be number 3 after an EAR 890 and a Leben CS600

Hi Didier, have you seen the pic of my EAR 899 I'm selling ? posted on here a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks Dave but I want to stay in the 2000£ area.
SHILL ALERT!!!!!!!!!
Dave has a loverly Icon Audio amp around that price. Not as smooooooooth and soft as the Stereo 40? he has at a grand, but beautifully presented, great sounding and with decent instructions on use and adjustment..
Just thought I'd mention it and yes, I don't visit other dealers out of respect for their time, the above amp is definitely in Croft territory and should be reliable in use I hope and the thing just looks fab sitting on the shelf :)
Oh, and before Richard Dunn has another carp at my expense on his forum, icon Audio do have a small network of dealers around the UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Apologies to Guy, but I haven't yet tried the rather nice looking Puresound amp due to a valve problem which may have been sorted now. This should be fixed by the next visitation soon and another bloody heavyweight to hoik around
850£ each. If they don't go at this price, I'll keep them.

Two months ago these would have sold the same day; its a slow season indeed. I'm suprised Ian hasn't bought them, if noone else; he's been without Crofts for a few weeks now!
Great amps at a good price.

Hi Andrew,
If you mean me I still have the 25R and 7 ! If the power amp were a 7 I'd be very tempted to have it and go mono, very tempted.
Good luck with it Didier, I too am very surprised these haven't gone, they will. Andrew's right, it is indeed the slow season.
Decision finally made and end of the sale: the amplifier I was interested in doesn't have a phono stage, and would have been a bad move at the end.

Good decision Didier. After all it would have to be some phono stage to match that.
Ian, I must have got confused; I thought you'd sold all your Croft in a blaze of retro valve amp frenzy.
Echoed Didier, this could have been regretted !
Andrew, room for both in my life - the Crofts I consider to be my 'core' amplification, everything else is just fun and indulgence ;-).
The UK retailers are dead at the moment I understand and a few are closing down every few months. Sad but true :(
