Arcam Delta 270 CD Player.

My cousin has an Arcam Delta 270 CD Player. He might think about selling it on, it's old but still works fine.

How much do these Arcams fetch these days?

When i sold mine a few years ago,it went for about £60-70,if i recall correctly!

The 270 has a CD-M9 mech I think, although I don't know which version. IMO, the BEST Philips mech bar none, as they're quicker on searching than the geriatric old CD-M1 my player uses, tracking is even better and, apart from loading cogs shedding their teeth (pattern replacements available on eBay), they're long lived and reliable I think.

May well be worth doing some research on this one. Arcam were dealing with the effects (audible or otherwise) of jitter in the digital stream by this time, and with modern DAC's being as accommodating as they now are, it could be one of the last CD spinner transports you'd ever need :)
