12w seems a bit low for a 212, I would have expected to use 12w driving the 212.

Reminds me, must test that 16.5v 6A heater supply :-)

A 1936 WE 212E data sheet describes the operating point for a Single Ended Class A 212, 1500v @ 170ma producing 50W of power, a pair in push pull generate 650W of output.

Just to get a better idea of the size of the things, here is a picture of one with a 6550 power pentode next to it to provide a sense of scale.
