Hello all,

After a real long gap of collecting my bits to start my journey down the 1210 experience. I finally sat down today and plumbed in the 1210 fitted the sumiko and DL103 Pro and to much frustration cannot balance the arm. With the weight all the way to end of the stub the cartridge won't lift up level to the platter. I am currently using the stock arm. Any ideas or additional weights that I could buy?

Speedy Steve's custom counterweight service?

You'll need an external stylus balance though :)

You can also try lead tape normally used by Golfers & Tennis players to add weight to their own rackets etc.

Pretty cheap if bought off EBay and you can just wrap up it around & around your current counterweight until it balances

Adding mass to the counterweight will render the play-weight scale unusable since the calibration will be thrown out by the extra mass movong towards the pivot as weight is applied to the stylus. Not an ossue of you have a decent external balance as i suggested above :)
