This an was amp that I brought a few years back made in the 90’s by a Danish company called Tekni-fi who made real high end gear at the time (although not really known here in the UK). I did not like the output stage so I sent it to Glenn just over a year ago and he put a Micro output stage in with 2 x 12AX7 (instead of the one tube he uses now). He also brought the power supply up to spec to be used with this output stage. The power supply on this amp is a real killer. It uses 2 huge Mundorf Tube caps for smoothing and a separate tube regulated power supply for each output tube. The heater section also uses a separate transformer. I have used a Weber Copper Cap instead of a tube, but you can swap it out for a valve if you like. I could not hear a difference (I tried it), but the power supply will run better and power consumption will be less making for a better power supply if the Weber is used. The power caps into the output stages are the screw terminal type Jenson and it uses 2 x TDK volume pots one is mounted on the front the other the back (check out photo). The pots are dual pots so if you do not want 2 mono just need to disconnect wire on the back pot and solder them to the front one, these pots are really good cost £45 each. Also uses an Elma selection switch. Output caps are clarity caps, braided cloth and silver strip wire cable in line and case is a simple black Perspex (no metal) and looks a stunning high gloss. If you want to put a phone in the space is there and holes are ready for tube and the selection knob surround already has the markings on for phono.

Looking for £450 shipped parts alone cost more.

I also have a Croft Power Amp for sale both amps were sent to Glenn at the same time so they match really well. Will give discount if both brought together.

Lovely - what does the rear pot do currently?

ThinK I may have not explained my self properly here you go.

I am slightly deaf in one ear so I wanted to keep mono pots. There was already space to put one on the back and Glenn being Glenn just put it there. Does not bother me as I have been using Glenn's amps for years and can balance 2 pots with my eyes closed. The pots are two stereo so you would just need to solder wires from the back pot into the front one and you then have a single stereo pot.
