Just introducing myself, I'm a 57 year old who was seduced into hifi after hearing a Linn/Vacuum State/EAR/Heybrook combination at the Sydney HiFi show in about 1983. Love velves and currently, and very happy with, a Lite DAC60/Little Dot Mk111 preamp/Jungson JA99C and self built World Audio Design WD25Ts. Have just restored a Technics SP10 with London Decca International tonearm.
Also interested, like many in this hobby, with photography.

Cheers,

Hal55

Hi Hal, welcome aboard. You'll enjoy it here, very civilised.
By the way I'm in Adelaide.

Thanks all for the friendly welcome, it's much appreciated. Just a bit more about me, my musical tastes are very MOR with a liking for clean, clear vocals that have that presence factor. Clarinet, saxophone, piano are amongst my favourite instruments and in my younger days in Sydney I was a fairly regular attendee at the Sydney Opera House. Musical highlights of a trip my wife and I did to the UK three years were seeing Phantom live and going to the Barbican to see Anne Sophie Mutter.
Very happy with my current setup, which I'll photograph next weekend and get on Flickr, Photobucket or whatever and from there upload onto this forum. My uploading of photos of the SP10 I've just done was unsuccessful with the pics from my harddrive turning out way too small. Still have a few issues to sort out with the turntable so I'm sure I'll be making good use of the technical expertise of the good people here.

Cheers,

Hal55
