Those Takets, if you don't mind me saying, are the ugliest cans in existence. They look uncomfortable too. I hope you have given them a good trial before parting with all that money.

agree not the best looking headphones , but you don,t see them when your wearing them Ignore comments on youtube he was driving them from a Pc
They need like stax , to be driven direct from power amps & need 1500volts from the tr2 step-up transformer , they have a full range driver + supertweeter
I drive mine from transformer via a pair of 300b deicated monoblocks
Result They are totally stunning , unlike any headphone on the market , staggering scale , dynamic range , detail & bass extension like 10foot high horns
only headphones that you can actually feel the low end
headphone drivers i also use as a pair subwoofer Whdpure , must be the worlds smallest Subs & also use there Batmaster twweters which extend to 150Khz
they are not called " the king of headphones " for nothing

The HD800 sounds terrific with the Bushmaster. I own a pair of the HD800 and have even embarked on carrying out a HD800 specific mod on the Bushmaster that I use with my laptop in the bedroom. Can't be used with batteries after that I am afraid, but that doesn't bother me personally.

Also the earpads were stinking with cigaratte smell and i will have to replace them.

I'm not sure how much help they will be able to offer you in these circumstances but it might be advantageous to get in touch with a mod or perhaps Marco himself concerning this issue...
