Not been on here for a while. Too busy just enjoying my set-up ( and getting things back in perspective - away from "£10k speaker wire land" )
As I intimated, everything sounds great but the transport on my Arcam CD23 is beginning to get a bit noisey. Not anything that anyone else would notice but on quieter sections of tracks I can hear it spinning. I originally picked it up 2nd hand for £450 and I've been very happy with it........ But I was very happy with my Kandy till I heard the CD23.
My question is - should I get the Arcam serviced or is it time to try something else ?
I have the Arcam A32, B&W CM5 speakers, a very diverse music taste ( Smashing Pumpkins, Yael Naim, Bocherinni, Eno, Faith No More, Slow Hand, Dean Martin ), a quite a "lively" room ( oak floor, wood blinds, painted walls )
Would have a budget of maybe £1750 ( or £1500 if I can't get used to this new 3 wood ! )
Suggestions on a post card
