I know I am not a frequent poster on this forum, but I request your generous help.

I'm going into hospital on Monday for a long cancer operation on Tuesday. If you have a God, or even made a Dr Faustus deal with the Devil, your prayers and thoughts would be most welcome. I'm being banned by SWMBO from looking at a computer when I come out, assuming I come out, for a month or two, but I shall be able to read your comments at a later date. So beware!

Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts.

Anthony.

Hi Anthony, I still remember you chap!

Here's wishing you all the very best & a swift recovery & full remission :)

I'd hope that others would do the very same if I was in the same position...

E2A:- While I'm not in the least bit religious, my thoughts will be with you, as any other genuinely human beings should be at the end of the day. Suffering is no fun, & I'm sure that applies to beings other than us come to that.

Hi Anthony, haven't received any emails from you for a long while or seen you around on AoS. But I think it is a bit clearer now why that was the case.

If you are going in for an operation then I consider that a positive sign under the circumstances. So I shall have a quiet word with the chief surgeon on your behalf. Hear from you in a few months time and looking forward to what you think of the Bushmaster when you get a chance to try one out on your safe return :).

Hi Anthony,

Both my wife and I are practising Catholics, so our prayers will be with you. In fact, we'll light a candle for you, too, when we attend mass on Sunday.

I'm sure that everything will go well, and like others, wish you all the best for a speedy and permanent recovery to full health. If you can, at some point, let us know how you got on.

All the best, mate!

Marco.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Metaphorically speaking of course.

We pray for a succesful recovery

All the best from me Anthony. I'm looking forward to seeing your posts in a few months time when all this is sorted and you're back and SWMBO has plugged the computer back in! In the meantime, I sincerely hope everything goes well and that your recovery is swift and full.

It has been a year now since we last heard from Tony. Has anyone got an update?

Marco

Haven't heard anything, Stan. I hope everything went ok. I believe that Tony posts mostly on Wigwam - might be worth someone from here posting there to get an update.

God is whatever you perceive it to be.

I wish you only the very best of luck and hope to see you here after the operation.
