What length is the arm, Nat? It's not obvious from the pics. Looks like a 10-incher, and very well-engineered...

The ultra-low mass would be ideal for some vintage high-compliance cartridges :)

Hey Dude - I've said before, wrongful expectation leads to frustration.. :eyebrows:

It is indeed - pretty much designed I think for higher compliance carts which is probably why it worked so well with an AT33 as that's fairly high compliance as were quite a few from around the same time.

240mm is its effective length and 225mm pivot to spindle - more like 9.5" arm yet SME's idea of a 10" arm is actually a couple of mm smaller..

Depends so much on the definition by the manufacturer.. Brinkmann 10.5 being 266mm (really is 10.5") and SME 310 being 239mm (9.4") for example.

Lol... Yeah, I thought it looked bigger than a 9-incher, based on comparison with my usual 'template' :eyebrows:

Good luck with the sale - for me, it's a bargain!

Marco.

Nat,
Good luck. I bought my AT1100 back in the late 70s when it first came out. Brilliant arm. I mated mine with a Micro Seiki LC80W MC. The pair were reviewers’ faves at the time. I sold mine about 6 weeks ago for far more than your asking price on the *bay. Good luck here, but you’ll find plenty of buyers elsewhere.
