Hi all,

Does anyone have an old AGP graphics card knocking around that they no longer need nor want. The one in my step-daughters PC has gone kaput and we don't have the funds to buy a new computer so I said I'd ask about. She only uses her PC for school work along with a little browsing and Facebook stuff so it won't need to be a powerhouse. I'm sorry but it would need to be cheap as funds are scarce for us just now... :eyebrows:

I think AGP cards are quite hard to find now, I sold my last one a couple of years back on eBay. I think that's your only option if somebody here does not have one lying around. I will check to see if we have an old one at work I could 'liberate' away from our stock list, but I am off until next Monday now.

That's a beggar, I threw one away last month on the grounds that I'll never ever use it.

Thanks for that Tim, I really appreciate it ;)

Yes ... I think I do ... Funnily enough, just today i took an old pc I forgot I had and found in the loft to the office today and it's def not pci!
It's a big bugger with a massive fan on it ... Think it was the dogs in the day!
I'll have a look for you tomorrow ...

Failing getting an AGP card, how about a PCI one, should be fine for what the pc is used for. Perhaps there is even on board graphics that was not used.

No onboard graphics unfortunately Alex and PCI graphics might struggle with some of Facebook's extra features I think. I'm not 100% sure of this as I steer well clear of FB myself ;)

I've definately got one (I think I have 3) so if Hamish doesn't have one let me know and you can have it for the price of the postage which will be about £3 i would reckon.

There's a card on its way from Nigel (Vinylspinner) but I won't know if it's compatible until I fit it so I'll keep you in mind chaps. Thank you all ;)
