I'm selling my trusted Yamaha DSP E800 AV preamp (with 3x70WRMS inbuilt power amps for centre and surround speakers). This had great reviews and is intended as an AV add-on for an existing 2 channel hifi for surround sound. It decodes Dolby Digital and DTS and can be used as a stand alone DAC as well. It has 5.1 analogue outs and 5.1 analogue ins as well. There's plenty of reviews on the web on this so check it out.

It's in very good condition and I'm only after £40 for it plus P/P.

The Yamaha doesn't decode the new high def formats (Dolby Tru HD, multichannel linear PCM etc...) but I also have a small device - CLUX 11SA - (that cost around £140) that takes an HDMI input and strips the high def sound out into 7.1 or 5.1 analogue outs. These outputs can in turn be routed to the Yamaha's 5.1 analogue inputs to offer full HD 5.1 surround from bluray discs. I'm after £40 + pp for this in excellent condition.

Better still - both units for £70 plus pp - so if you have a cheap bluray player with HDMI out, but no modern AV amp, the above is a cheap way to achieve full HD surround sound.

I'm based in Scotland - Paypal preferred payment.
