After a long road of changing things off and on ( always wanting to change stuff more like!!!) I now find myself being able to change my speakers :eyebrows: I no its all down to personal preference etc but it doesn't hurt to ask people what they would maybe choose
As for budget I would have around say £1400, they would need to partner my current setup which consists of a micro 25 pre a series 7 (cheers Ian) and my eastern electric minimax
Ideally they would need to produce good detail without struggling and keep the bass nice and tight with as little ressonance as possible!
Many thanks in advance
Nev

Yamaha NS1000M...
Been there before, I'm sure you'd love the things with a valve setup :)
If you read the horror stories it was simply down to using them with typical class B transistor amps back in the day. They are superb imho, when partnered correctly & you have what looks like the correct kit :)
Don't listen to me though, I'm prejudiced

A slightly left field suggestion but Quad 22L is a great speaker, or even dare i mention a pair of Celestion 44's or 66's.

A pair of Tannoy Chatsworths (Monitor Gold type) or Tannoy System 800 if you want something smaller. Both are very capable speakers and require modest power due to the decent sensitivity.
If you were willing to consider something a little more bespoke, I can vouch for the Edingdales. Astonishing speakers.

I can second that recommendation. The Edingdales are seriously worth auditioning.

And I can third it (if hat is a real term)
