Thought I'd post this in DIY as you need to choose the cable & plug yourself.

This just arrived from British Audio Products: http://store.securehosting.com/stores/sh204131/shophome.php?itemprcd=mainsd

Looks like a very sensible price compared to a lot of stuff out there. It's a lot bigger & heavier than I expected but will be hidden behind the daybed. I can easily lift the unit by that plug without it falling out, so it looks to do the job. I don't believe this stuff makes night and day differences, but noticeable enough to me. Do you guys have any mains tips?

It's a steel enclosure so do yourself a favour & give it some decent screened mains cable :)

I picked up a 6 way & 13 way on ebay, very similar to that you have there for less than £20 the both of them, as good as new.

As you say, you can lift the things with a plug that is plugged into them even though they weigh quite a bit :eyebrows:

Its quite stiff but also quite thin so goes in small holes! :) oh and of course it's shielded too!

Supra Lo-Rad & silver-plated MK toughplug sounds good to me (I already have 5m of the 2.5mm Lo-Rad), cheers. :)

Didn't think about fuses... I'll leave these for a while & might change one out later on to see if I can hear a difference.

You can bend it into unnatural positions too. And it'll stay put! :eyebrows:
