good vibes

Having had a couple of people who wanted this first time I offered it up in March (one in the U.K. and one abroad), but both needed me to post the item, alas I was unable to proceed any further with the sale.
This is a 'pick up only' sale, not prepared to post and risk damage to the item!

The time has come to part with my beloved Townshend Elite RockTurntable.
I have had the deck for five years myself, was purchased from a careful owner who spent a lot of time abroad for his engineering job.
I feel guilty holding on to the turntable, as I've only used it around 20 - 30 hours in the whole five years of owning it I'm afraid.

I mostly use my Technics 1210 MK2 decks on a daily basis, and having purchased another Technics on here from Dan (Ledzep) that has had some upgrades on it, feel I can't justifie having three turntables.
Apart from not having the room for all three decks, I feel hardly playing the Townshend Rock (even though it is a beautiful thing) means it will be better to move it on along to someone who will get to use it more than I do. I shall be sad to see it go, but must be realistic as well.

The turntable comes with the desirable plinth and lid, both in great shape. I'd say the deck, plinth, lid and cartridge package is 8/9 out of 10. There is a small mark of around 4 - 5mm on the front of the plinth, nothing serious (please refer to attached photo).

The lid is clean without marks, as is the turntable itself. The Ortofon MC10 Super Cartridge had around 30 hours on it according to the previous owner, and around 20 - 30 hours play time from myself. So 50 - 60 hours in total, plenty of life still left in it...

A great chance to own an iconic deck in almost new shape...
I have had the deck covered at all times with a sheet of bubble-wrap plastic, and a piece of thick clothe over the top of the bubble-wrap itself. I have a small son and never felt at ease playing the deck if he was close by, so one of the reasons it has not had a lot of use by me.

I'm looking for £500.00 for the package (reduced from £600 when I first listed back in March).
This would be a pick up only sale, not prepared to risk posting, especially as its in such nice condition.

Recently on Ebay two Elite Rock decks have sold at auction, one turntable with tonearm and cartridge for £521.00 (no plinth or lid, and marks on the platter), and one turntable 'only' (without tonearm and with light not working on on/off start button) for £351.00. So I'd say this is a good price for a complete package...

I also have a couple of pieces of granite, along with some fancy spiked feet I purchased from Germany that sit under the Rock plinth. If a buyer would also like these as well, could let them go for £30 (cost me around £55.00 in total).

Townshend Rock Turntable
Townshend Rock Turntable Plinth
Townshend Rock Turntable Lid
Alphason Opal Tonearm
Ortofon MC10 Super Cartridge (around 50 - 60 hrs use)

Attached photo's, apart from the picture of the small mark on the front of the plinth, any other things that look like marks on any photo's are due to light, dust, or my basic poor camera phone/photo technique!
As this is pick up only, the buyer will be able to see for themselves regarding such queries...
