Hi...not quite sure where to go on here but here's my best effort...
I used to think I appreciated listening to good music until I met a friend of mine a few years back...he was brought up listening to quality equipment by his dad and it obviously rubbed off onto him. I spent many an evening listening to his setup and the more I did the more I realised I was selling my ears short!
Im very lucky that my partner loves music as much as I do...and without it sounding cliché - to a very wide range of styles - although I do have favourites such as Ryan Adams, pink floyd and radiohead.
The bulk of my music is now digital - not got my vinyl set up since moving - so I ended up treating myself to what I consider to sound good to my ears.
I've have a sonos zp90 being fed from my iMac that goes into a beresford gatorized dac via a digital coax...this then feeds to my arcam delta 290 into a pair of kef q500's.... That's the living room anyway! Since I have sonos I have a couple more rooms set up but the bulk of my listening is to this setup.
Fingers crossed, being a member of these forums will guide me for my future purchases!
