Guys,

I'm posting this on behalf of Hamish :)

Tube Distinctions Class A 30 WPC, push-pull power amplifier.

Specifications

Class A 30-WPC
Input sensitivity: 2V P/P
Frequency response: 10 Hz to 100 kHz, flat

Valves fitted:

4 x JAN spec Philips 6SN7 (driver valves)
4 x Original Winged-C Svetlana KT88 (output valves)
2 x original Mullard GZ34 rectifiers.

Recently fully inspected by Tube Distinctions.

This amplifier uses a very similar circuit line-up to the original Copper amps, from Tube Distinctions, and therefore shares many of their superb qualities, with excellent sound and drive capabilities.

There once was an amp all shinney and black
Sat waiting for a home on a hifi rack
So glorious it's sound
And only a thousand pound
Why will no one add it to their stack?

Or more traditionally ... BUMP!!

Nice one Hamish, i would have put the money into my home aswell istead of pumping it back into Hi-Fi. When you have a woman & Children Hi-Fi becomes un-important anymore anyway imho.

Not here it doesn't!

Quite the opposite - my hi-fi helps me relax and deal with stress ...

One of my mates fell down those steps (the ones that used to be where that hole is) cut his hand open and had to have reconstructive surgery on some muscles and nerves and other inside your hand gubbins!
Having the steps taken out and replaced with somthing that is safer (less steep and wider) was a lot higher on my list of priorities than keeping a valve amp I don't use!

If something else needed for the house the hifi would be high on the list to go ... That's the way with luxury stuff though eh
